Traditionally made English muffin, hand crafted to accompany a complete breakfast range. We use butter milk to create that old fashioned tang to the product.

Heritage White

Red Fife is an Heritage Wheat last used in commercial quantities in the early part of the last century. Because the gluten structure is different to modern wheat it seems to be more digestible for many of our regular customers. We remove about 15% of the coarse bran so it is not a pure white but a lightish brown in colour as a result of some of the wheat germ left in. This bread is made with Wild Yeast.

Italian loaf rings are a very popular loaf with our customers. It has a multitude of uses, tear and share, but once torn can be filled sandwich style. Great to be used as a dipping bread or mopping up sauces. A great contributor to any dining occasion.

Pagnota

Dough for this is similar to the Pain au Levain but with extra spelt and rye. Baked for 2 hours as we aim for a 6 mm thick dark crust. 10 kg of dough makes a 4 foot long edition we call "the Monster" popular with sandwich makers for toasting, bruschetta etc. At our farmers markets chunks of Pagnota can also be brought.

President’s Loaf

Our President’s loaf is made without wheat or yeast and has no added sugar other than the sugar naturally found in the fruit (fig, date and sultana). This is a rye based bread so will keep well for approximately 3 - 5 days at room temperature. The President’s is a really special loaf which we can recommend with strong cheese and a glass of red wine of an evening.

Stoneground Wholemeal

A traditional wholemeal loaf ideal for toasting and sandwich producing. The grain for this is grown yards from our mill and bakery therefore we have complete control of the texture and flavour of this brilliant loaf.
